Dr. John Whyte Receives Moody Prize

John Whyte, MD, PhDJohn Whyte, MD, PhD, director of MossRehab Research Institute, is the recipient of the 2008 Robert L. Moody Prize for Distiguished Initiatives in Brain Injury Research and Rehabilition. As the Moody Prize recipient, Dr. Whyte will receive a $10,000 cash award and the Tiffany Pyramid.

Internationally renowned experts in brain trauma will convene May 14 – 16 for the eight annual Galveston Brain Injury Conference at Moody Gardens, where Dr. Whyte will be awarded the prize.

This invitational event is sponsored by the Center for Rehabilitation Sciences and the School of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in collaboration with the Transitional Learning Center at Galveston, which provides rehabilitation for those who have suffered an acute brain injury.

The topic of this year’s event is “Aging with Brain Injury/Brain Injury in the Aged.”
